As a recent graduate of Freed-Hardeman University, Robyn McDaniel holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has also obtained the credential of National Certified Counselor (NCC) granted to her by the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). Robyn has also met the academic requirements and has earned a temporary licensure in Tennessee as a Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider (LPC/MHSP [temp]).
As a mother of a young child, Robyn enjoys working with children as young as three. She is a member of the Association for Play Therapy and is working closely with her supervisor, Alvin Bonds, II, to earn the credential of Registered Play Therapist (RPT). She believes that all behavior is communication and that understanding the unique communication methods of each person is key to unlocking the individualized components that comprise that specific individual.
Robyn has a passion for working with senior citizens and their families. She has more than three years of experience in working with this population in an assisted living environment and was awarded the honor of Americare’s Caregiver of the Year for 2015. With over eight years of sobriety under her belt, she also has experience in working with substance use disorders and understands the complexity of substance use disorder from the perspectives of both loved one and addict.
